When you experience mental health problems, it can affect every aspect of your life. You may struggle with your ability to concentrate and make decisions, experience changes in mood or behavior, and have difficulty carrying out daily activities such as work or school. You can try to hide the effect stress, anxiety, or depression has on you but it will likely lead to other physical health problems that are harder to hide, such as increased risk of heart disease and other chronic illnesses. Untreated mental health issues can also impact those around us, including family, friends, and colleagues. This is why it is essential to seek help and support when struggling with mental health issues.

While we can’t remove you from your stressors but we can help change how your body responds to the stressors.

Treat Mental Health With Acupuncture

In Our Patient’s Own Words

Acupuncture has changed the quality of life for me. Depression has been something that I have lived with off and on for years. I finally realized/accepted that the last 3-4 months have been bad and I needed to do something. I went in for a consultation with Sarah and decided to give it a try. She had me coming in three times a week and after just two weeks I really noticed improvement. I was starting to enjoy doing things again and had more energy. I continued with the treatment plan and things just kept improving. I have more energy and am again finding joy in activities. I have been able to run and train, work, spend time chasing after my toddler and not feel miserable at the end of the day. I can now spend more quality time with my family and no longer need to fake feeling good.

I came to Dynamic Flow Acupuncture because I tweaked my back at the gym. I’m so happy that happened otherwise I would have never learned that there was an answer to my anxiety. Anxiety has always part of my daily life as long as I can remember. I thought there was nothing I could do about it other than learn to live with it. I didn’t even mention it to Sarah when we started treatment. Sarah was working on my back and next thing I knew not only was my back feeling better I also started having full days where anxiety didn’t come into play. I mentioned this to Sarah and she said that was one of the common side benefits of acupuncture. She asked if I was interested in focusing on anxiety and mental health once my back was better. Yes please! We focused on anxiety for the next month and wow did it make a difference. I still have all of the same stressors in my life but I’m not experiencing the same anxiety that it always had brought on. We’ve made it to a point where one treatment a month keeps everything going great. I’ve never been more grateful for a tweaked back.
